Most of these pieces reflect memories of more than a dozen summers spent along Mexico’s Pacific coast, from Puerto Vallarta to the Riviera Maya. We returned year after year with close friends, spending long days by the pool, discovering restaurants, wandering through town, and simply enjoying being together.

I was always drawn to the Mexico beyond the resort—the painted buildings, patterned tiles, colorful clothing, crowded marketplaces, and faces we passed along the streets. Some pieces were also inspired by performances we attended, including Cirque du Soleil’s JOYÀ.

 

Looking at them now, I see more than Mexico. I see years of friendship, familiar places, and the small moments that made us keep coming back.
